Is your eyesight not so good these days? That happens to everyone, even eye doctors, as they get older. The simple fact of years passing causes changes in the eyes just as it does in the rest of the body. Most of the time, eyesight can be improved by pinpointing what the problem is and then devising the best treatment for you as an individual. Please see our page on Diagnostic Tests for more on this.
You are in safe hands with Dr. Thomas Eshun-Wilson. He has extensive ophthalmology education and a lot of experience at diagnosing and treating eye problems like cataracts and glaucoma. These two eye diseases can lead to blindness if they are not treated.
If you have diabetes and are over 65 years of age, you are at increased risk for eye problems. You can develop what is called Diabetic Retinopathy, where the tiny blood vessels of the retina start to leak and cause vision problems. Even if you do not have diabetes, the central retina can develop problems after mid-life -- if you have Macular Degeneration, Thomas can help.
